Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

We just got back from Kentucky. It was a short trip, but it was great to see the kids and grandchildren. Our afternoon yesterday included a trip to the pumpkin patch and pumpkin carving.

In order to get to the pumpkin field, you have to go through the store. (Lots of breakable stuff!) So the boys get to ride in the wagon while we make our way through a crowded store.

With all of the orange pumpkins Micah seemed to be drawn to the green ones.

Isaiah appeared to be getting a little tired.

With the perfect pumpkin picked, now came the icky part!

Elijah modeled for the design.

The finished product. Pretty scary, huh!?

One of my favorite parts of the weekend...the boys lit some candles on some cupcakes that Erin had made (thanks Erin!) and sang "Happy Birthday" to Papa!
